5-day training programme for CBSE Computer Science teachers

Computer Science teachers of CBSE schools will get an in-depth knowledge of database design and fundamentals of SQL (Structured Query Language) in a five-day workshop being held at CBSE Centre for Excellence in Gurgaon.

The training programme, which ends on July 3, on Database Design and Programming with SQL is being organised by CBSE in collaboration with ORACLE Academy, said Rama Sharma PRO of the Board.

Twenty-six Computer Science teachers from CBSE schools in Delhi, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Moscow are participating in this training programme.

"The training is aimed at helping teachers gain in-depth knowledge of Database Design and fundamentals of SQL with emphasis on the practical aspects," she said.
 

During the five days' session, hands-on training will be provided on SQL. The participants will be designing projects on database design where they will design an Entity Relationship diagram for a business of their choice.

This training facilitated by CBSE through Oracle Academy would be beneficial to teachers, she added.
