5 killed in road accident in Jharkhand

Five persons, including two women were killed and three others injured when trailer collided head-on with a passenger vehicle in Ghatshila sub-division in the wee hours today.

The accident happened in Dalbhumgarh under the jurisdiction of Dalbhumgarh police station.

Five persons, including three women were killed on the spot, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Prabhat Kumar said.

Two of the injured were in critical condition, he said.

The critically injured persons were shifted to M G M Hospital here.

The trailer's driver fled the scene, police said.
