7 killed, five injured in road accident

The passenger vehicle, ferrying over a dozen people, was hit by a state transport bus about 40 kms from here, said Vivek Kumar Srivastava, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Soraon.
Six persons, including three women, died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, police said.
Five persons were admitted in a critical condition.
The ill-fated vehicle was going towards Pratapgarh district while the bus was coming to Allahabad.
Driver of the bus has been taken into custody and the vehicle was seized, Soraon police station's in-charge Dhananjay Mishra said.
This is the second accident involving a state roadways bus in the same area in less than a week.
On November 22, two persons were killed when a three-wheeler was hit from behind by a roadways bus.
