70-yr-old tourist dies of cardiac arrest at Gulmarg

A 70-year-old tourist from Mumbai apparently died of cardiac arrest at famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir, police said today.

Dev Chand Godha, a resident of Shivtari area of Mumbai, died after he suffered a major heart attack near a hotel in Gulmarg, 50 kms from here, a police spokesman said.

Accompanied by his relatives, the body of the deceased was brought to Srinagar and after completion of medico-legal formalities was handed over to his next of kins, the spokesman said.

He said the tourist was cremated by his relatives at Batmaloo cremation ground last evening.
