8 IPS officers including 6 IGPs transferred in C'garh

In a major reshuffle, Chhattisgarh government today transferred eight IPS officers, including six Inspector Generals of Police, ahead of the monsoonsession of the Assembly.

Pawan Dev, a 1992-batch Indian Police Service officer who was Inspector General of Police, Bilaspur range, has been transferred as IGP, Crime Investigation Department (CID) at the Police Headquarters (PHQ), Raipur.

Last week, a lady police constable had accused Dev of harassment and an enquiry is on.

Vivekanand (1996-batch), who was on deputation with the central government, would take charge as IG Bilaspur Range.

IG Raipur range G P Singh (1994-batch) has been transferred as IG planning/management and technical services at the PHQ. Pradeep Gupta (1995-batch), currently IG Durg range, will replace him.
 

Deepanshu Kabra (1997-batch), who is with planning/management and technical services, PHQ Raipur, will be the new IG, Durg.

B P S Pausharya (1998-batch) Inspector General, Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Welfare, PHQ Raipur, will be the Inspector General, Chhattisgarh Armed Force at the PHQ.

Badrinarayan Meena, Superintendent of Police, Raipur has been shifted to Raigarh, while Raigarh SPSanjeev Shukla will take charge as the SP Raipur.

The monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Assembly is scheduled to be held from July 11 to July 19.
