8 of a family ill after eating 'prasad'

Eight people, including a baby, of a family took ill today after eating 'prasad' at a function at their home at at Majuli in Assam.

According to health officials, a family from Chamuguri Boniya Gaon organised a housewarming party and prepared 'prasad' for the occasion.

After consuming the 'prasad', they complained of headache and started vomiting.

Neighbours rushed them to a local health centre and doctors stated their conditions to be serious.
