Eight persons were taken ill due to suspected food poisoning at Jolly village in this district, police said.
The incident took place yesterday when the victims started complaining of headache, vomitting and fever after consuming sweets bought from a shop in the village, they said.
They were rushed to a hospital, police said, adding, the sample of sweets have been collected for investigation.
