86 fall ill after eating 'prasad'

Laloo Awasthi of the village had organised a ceremony yesterday to mark the birth of his son where the 'prasad' was distributed, they said.

After consuming it, about 86 people fell ill. Ten among them who were in a serious condition were admitted to a Primary Health Centre, they said.

The remaining were being treated by a team of doctors, they added.
