Quintessential flavors of Spain are on offer at the ongoing Spanish Food Festival organised by the Spanish Embassy at the Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort in Greater Noida.
Guest chefs Xisco Palmer Amer and Antonio Palmer Amer, brings their over 50 years of experience to create a Spanish food extravaganza. In-house chef Shivanand Kain chips in.
The Jaypee group, has a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Viva Can Picafort Hotel in Spain the chefs Amer and Amer work. As a part of this MoU, chefs from the Indian hotel are scheduled to travel to Spain in a similar arrangement.

"Since, we already had an Italian restaurant, La Breeza , we wanted to do something innovative and hence came up with the idea of organizing a Spanish food festival," says Renuka Kaushik, marketing head, Jaypee Hotels.
A typical Spanish meal includes starters, a main course and the dessert. Starters in this European country's cuisine are referred to as Tapas, which forms an integral part of the day's meal.
The spread includes small snacks that people eat day in and day out in Spain. Croquettes stuffed with zucchini, spinach and eggplant, shrimps sauteed in olive oil and garlic and the Spanish omelette, were some of the starters that made it to the Tapas.
The main course of Paellas, salads and tortillas is served with a wide array of toppings, with the classic Spanish wine, Sangria, complementing the food very well.
