A M Tiwari, a 1985 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of state-run Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFC).
Tiwari will succeed S K Nanda who retired earlier this year.
He holds Bachelors in Chemistry, Zoology and Botany from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University and also holds Masters in Zoology from the same university.

In a regulatory filing, the Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) said Tiwari has been appointed as Managing Director of the company.
Prior to this, Tiwari was working as Managing Director of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd.
The company has lined up an investment of Rs 15,000 crore to expand its capacity over the next two years.
