Nagaland Congress today urged Governor Ashwani Kumar to accord prosecution sanction against state health and family welfare minister Imkong L Imchen.
Imkong was caught by Assam Rifles at Wokha on February 18 allegedly with arms and ammunition and Rs one crore before the state elections.
In a representation to the governor, an NPCC delegation said the Investigation Authority had sought prosecution sanction from the Nagaland Assembly Speaker against Imchen but did not get it.
Under the circumstances, NPCC urged the governor to accord prosecution sanction as required.
