Accounts officer of Nagpur ZP lands in ACB net

An accounts officer with the finance department of Nagpur Zilla Parishad was caught red- handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau of police while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 4,500 on Wednesday.

A contractor had filed a complaint against accounts officer Sudam Pangul, alleging that he had demanded Rs 4,500 to clear his bills for various works in Mouda area.

The ACB officials laid a trap and arrested the official. A case under Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against Pangul at Sadar police station.
