After blessing son-in-law, man killed in accident

A man was killed in a car accident while returning home after blessing his would be son-in-law at the 'ashirbad' ritual tonight, the police said.

Khagen Chowdhury was killed when the car carrying him and other family members collided head on with another car at Gita More in Mothabari under Kaliachak police station in Malda district.

Chowdhury's son and brother-in-law were injured in the accident and were admitted to Malda Medical College, police said.

The family hailing from Narayanpur under Manikchak police station was returning from Paglaghat in Kaliachak, the police said.
