Regional airline Air Pegasus will launch a daily flight connecting Bengaluru and Chennai from August 20.

The airline has also added Mangaluru on its map from here by launching a daily flight from August 21 while converting the frequency of its service to Hubli to twice a day from a daily flight and Bengaluru-Madurai flight from thrice a week to daily flight.

"Following the stupendous response by the passengers and the overwhelming patronage received by Air Pegasus in the first four months since inception, we have decided to expand our services to rise to the expectations of the new age customer," said Shyson Thomas, Managing Director, Air Pegasus.

The Bangalore-Hubli flight and Bangalore-Madurai flight has seen an average occupancy of about 80 per cent respectively and bowing to the rising demand from the passengers, the frequency had been increased, Thomas said.

Chennai and Mangaluru will be the new destinations to be connected from Bengaluru in addition to the existing Hubbali, Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai and Kadapa, the company said in a release.

Based out of the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, Air Pegasus will subsequently scale up its services and has plans to connect Tuticorin, Belgavi, Rajahmundry and Puducherry, it said.

Decor Aviation is one of the leading ground handling agencies in the country and part of the Decor group of firms. The company headquartered in Bengaluru now has diversified into the airlines business under brand name Pegasus.
