The Uttar Pradesh government has asked an expert to work on its dial 100 scheme, so as to lessen the response time on the lines of the 108 ambulance helpline.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said this during a function organised by the Lucknow Management Association (LMA) at the Yojna Bhawan here.

Akhilesh released two books "Manage, Live and Lead" written by Venkat Changavalli and "Driving UP's Growth Through Power Sector" edited by A K Mathur on the occasion.

Changavalli was appointed earlier as the advisor for home and health departments of the UP government.

The government has requested Changavalli to work on improving the dial 100 scheme, so that like 108 ambulance service, police could also reach the spot in minimum time, Akhilesh said.

The government would provide all basic facilities to implement the scheme as required, he said.

Appreciating the 108 ambulance service, he said that its credit "goes to Changavalli". Lakhs of people have been saved through it (108 helpline), he added.

Emphasising on Hindi translation of Changavalli's book, Akhilesh said that by this more and more people could read the book and get benefitted.

On the book edited by Mathur, he said that conclusions of a seminar organised under the aegis of LMA have been compiled in it.

He said that some facts have been incorporated in the book, which would help in improving power system in the state.
