Aluminium futures fall 1.06 pc on sluggish demand

Aluminium prices on Thursday fell by Rs 1.50 to Rs 140.50 per kg in futures market as participants trimmed their positions on low spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May declined by Rs 1.50, or 1.06 per cent, to Rs 140.50 per kg in 2 lots.

Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries in physical market mainly kept aluminium prices lower here.
