The Division bench of Justices G Chandraiah and N Ravi Shankar passed the order while admitting a PIL filed by K Kavitha, daughter of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and president of Telangana Jagruti Samiti (TJS).
The court directed the Centre to file reply by June 6.
The petition opposes the construction of Polavaram project, and seeks suspension of the latest tender notification issued by the state government on ground that the project on the Godavari river does not have clearances from Union Ministry of Environment and Forests. PTI Cor VVK KRK HKS
