ASI caught red-handed taking bribe of Rs 10,000

A case under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against ASI Karam Chand by State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau at Shimla Police Station, an official release said.

The accused, Chand, demanded the complainant to pay Rs 10,000 in return of documents of his vehicles HP 02A-0837, which was involved in an accident on November 18 at Kuthar in the jurisdiction of police station Theog, police said.

Police laid a trap and arrested the ASI red-handed.
