Life was today affected in North Dinajpur district during the 12-hour bandh called by the BJP in protest against the killing of a party worker.
Shops and markets were closed. Being Sunday offices and educational institutions remained closed. Some state buses plied with police escort, police said.
BJP workers damaged two government buses and three lorries, they said.
