Union minister Subhash Bhamre today called for a proposal regarding mutual exchange of army land in Nagpur in lieu of Maharashtra government's land in Ahmednagar, to be used as a firing range.
The Union Minister of State for Defence was speaking at a meeting regarding the mutual transfer of lands at the state secretariat.
Chief Secretary Sumit Mullick and army officials were present for the meeting.
A release issued by the state government said that Bhamre directed that the land records of the army land in Nagpur be checked and that the district collector of Ahmednagar and the army conduct a joint exercise to ascertain details of the government land in Ahmednagar.
