By-polls for the two wards of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) was held here today, with an average voter-turnout of 45% was registered, an official said.
Post in ward 17 (A) and ward 61 (A) fell vacant, following resignations of then Congress Corporator from ward no. 17 (A) Dinkar Dharma Patil and MNS corporator Hemant Godse from ward no 61 (A), Assist Commissioner (Administration) NMC Santosh Thakare, said.
While Godse had joined Shiv Sena, Patil had joined BJP to contest in the recent Lok Sabha polls, he said.
Godse, is now the Member of Parliament from Nashik constituency.
