Cache of explosive materials recovered in J&K

Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered a cache of explosive materials in Bandipora district of north Kashmir, police said.

The hideout was busted during a joint operation by the Army and police in Bhoothu Nallah area of the town, 55 kms from here, a police spokesman said.

He said the recoveries made from the hideout included four cylinder plastic jars containing explosive materials, one RPG Booster, three RPG rockets and 234 AK rounds.

However, no one was arrested during the operation, the spokesman said, adding a case was registered and efforts were on to nab the militants.
