Case registered against two dozen persons in Etah

Two dozen persons have been booked on charges of damaging a police jeep and hindering government work by blocking a road while protesting against the alleged kidnapping attempt of two children in Beri village.

The incident took place yesterday under Bagwala police station when two children, Abhishek (7) and Ashekh (5), were on their way to school and were allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons, police said.

However, one of the kids managed to escape and on reaching home informed about the episode to his family, they said.

On recieving information about the same, the villagers reached the spot and later the other boy also managed to escape from the alleged kidnappers, police said.
 

Irate villagers blocked the road and later when the police reached there, some persons pelted stones at the police jeep.

Police said a case has been registered against two dozen persons, however, no arrests have been made so far and added that the matter is bieng investigated.
