Centre frees five Pakistani nationals

The five Pakistani nationals were repatriated after being released from different jails in India.

Two Pakistani nationals were released from Amritsar central jail, two from Jammu and Kashmir jail and one from Alwar jail in Rajasthan.

The Pakistanis were arrested on illegal border crossing charges.

Officials at Wagah border said that the Pak nationals were arrested when they were found on Indian territory by the security forces without any mandatory travel documents, including passport and visa.

Pakistan Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani after holding talks with his Indian counterpart also returned to Pakistan today from the same land transit route.
