Charred body of woman found in UP

Charred body of an unidentified 22-year-old woman was today recovered at Roree village here, police said.

Upon receiving information from locals, police reached the spot and recovered the body outside the village under Modi Nagar Police station area, SHO Deepak Sharma said.

The victim's body was charred beyond recognition, he said.

The woman was possibly killed somewhere else but burnt in the district last night, the SHO said, adding the body was sent for post-mortem.

A case has been registered in this connection, he said, adding efforts are on to establish the victim's identity.
