The cold wave coupled with overcast conditions gave Delhiites no respite from the winter chill today as the minimum temperature settled at 7.4 degrees Celsius in the national capital, one notch below the season's average.
The maximum settled six points below the normal at 16.4 degrees even as the city received no rainfall till evening.
Earlier, in the morning, several parts of the city were enveloped in a dense blanket of fog causing visibility to drop before the situation improved as the day progressed.

"Visibility was recorded at 400m in the morning, which increased to 800m at 2.30 P.M.," said a MeT official.
The lowest minimum within the city was 5.2 degrees recorded at Delhi University.
Predicting partially clouded skies, the weatherman said, "The minimum and maximum temperatures may hover around 7 and 17 degrees tomorrow with moderate to dense fog in the morning."
The maximum yesterday had settled five degrees below normal at 17.6 degrees while the minimum was recorded at 7.4 degrees.
