CISF has arrested a cleaner working at a priemer lounge at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here for allegedly stealing Rs 6,000 from the wallet of a US-bound Indian flier.
Officials said the incident happened last night when a passenger, bound for New York by an United Airlines flight, complained to the staff that Rs 6,000 kept in his wallet have been stolen from the waiting lounge when he had gone to the bathroom.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials, after an analysis of CCTV footage and other inputs, intercepted a cleaner, identified as Vipin Singh, for his supicious activities during the time of the theft.

"Upon interrogation, Vipin accepted that he took the money when the passenger was away in the washroom before taking his flight," CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.
Vipin was later handed over to airport police which arrested him for the act.
The passenger whose money was stolen, identified as Ajay Kumar, has been informed as he had left for his destination.
Another cleaner was arrested at the IGIA four days ago on the charge of stealing the laptop of a passenger.
