A cleric was found hanging
from a tree at Bhabisa village here, sparking off tension in the area, police said today.
Mufti Munewar was found hanging yesterday, after which his relative lodged an FIR alleging that he was strangulated to death, Deputy Superintendent of Police N K Singh told reporters here.
The matter is being probed, he said.
