Clinton leading in four key swing states: Poll

Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential candidate, is leading in four key swing states of Colorado, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia, a latest poll said today.

As such her Republican rival, Donald Trump has "a fairly steep hill to climb" in many of the key states, the Wall Street Journal said after the poll results were released.

The new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist polls shows Clinton is leading Trump 44 per cent to 37 per cent in Florida, 44 to 35 per cent in Virginia, 43 to 35 per cent in Colorado and 44 to 38 per cent in North Carolina.
 

At least 10 per cent of the voters in each of these states have not made up their mind, the polls said which were conducted between July 5 and 11.

These states are among the most racially diverse presidential battlegrounds, with large shares of Hispanic or African-American voters, the daily reported.

According to RealClearPolitics.Com, which keeps track of all major national polls, Clinton has an edge of 2.7 percentage points over Trump in the average of major polls.
