Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a Deputy Commercial Tax Officer (DCTO) while accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a transport company official.
"The sleuths arrested Syed Basha Hussain, DCTO of Nalgonda District for allegedly taking bribe from Anil Kumar, Manager of Maruthi Granite in Narsaraopet of Guntur District to release four Granite loaded lorries that were detained by at Narketpalli on August 8," a statement said.
The Accused Officer was arrested and produced before Additional Special Judge for ACB cases in Hyderabad, the ACB said.
