Youth Congress leader Shaumik Hossain and son of former Congress MP Mannan Hossain today joined the Trinamool Congress along with several others.
All India General Secretary of Trinamool Congress Mukul Roy said that Hossain joining the party along with several others would cause a severe dent in the future existence of Youth Congress in West Bengal.
Reacting to this, President of West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee Adhir Chowdhury claimed that Hossain's joining the Trinamool would have no impact on his party.
"It is their decision to join any other party and my job is to strengthen Congress in the state", he said.
