Constable's body found hanging from a tree

The body of a constable was found hanging from a tree on the premises of the 4th Battalion of Tamil Nadu Special Police here, police said today.

Amarnath (25), hailing from Nilakkottai in Dindigul district, was a writer in the battalion since 2016, they said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Amarnath, a bachelor, was last seen going to his quarters at 10 pm yesterday, police said.
