Corruption common bond between Congress, BJP: CPI (M)

Press Trust of India Shimla

"The BJP and Congress look like they are opposing each other overtly but have a strong bond of corruption," the state secretariat of CPI (M) said in a statement issued here today.

"The recent revelations made by Anjali Damania member of India Against Corruption and having RSS background has exposed the alleged connections between BJP and Congress," the statement claimed, adding, a similar connection existed between both these parties in the state.

Both the parties were determined to rob the state of its wealth, natural resources, land and mines, the CPI (M) alleged in the statement.

The party alleged, "a classic example of Cong-BJP links was awarding a doctorate degree to Rajiv Shukla, a functionary of the BCCI and a member of the Rajya Sabha from the Congress.

"It was only because of this reason that the Himachal Pradesh Cricket association headed by the chief minister's son has become a fiefdom of BJP and enjoying full patronage of BCCI dominated by Congress," CPI (M) alleged in the statement.

The CPI (M) asked the people to teach both these parties a lesson that the common man cannot be taken for granted.
