Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Shashank Sekhar Bhokta today said despite Jharkhand being the "mineral capital" of the country, it got virtually nothing in the Rail Budget.
"If Mumbai is the financial capital, Jharkhand is the mineral capital of the country. Mumbai got bullet trains while Jharkhand got a passenger and an express train. It was a disappointing budget for Jharkhand," Bhokta told reporters.
"The Rail Budget has hurt us, because Jharkhand gives more revenue to the Railways," he said and criticised Railway Minister D V Sadanand Gowda for "paving way for outsourcing the railway industry in future" by proposing FDI and private sector investment in some areas of the Railways.
"These are the good days," Bhokta said sarcastically.
