The CPI(M) today expelled seven party workers, including four Englishbazar Municipality councillors for anti-party activities.
"Councillors Paritosh Chowdhury, Subhonip Sanyal, Barnali Haldar (Kundu) and Prosenjit Ghosh have been expelled from the party for anti-party activities. We have information that all of them were keeping close ties with Trinamool Congress," CPI(M) district secretary Ambar Mitra told reporters here.
"We have also expelled three other party functionaries for the same reason. There is no place for indisciplined cadres in the party," Mitra said.
