Crude palm oil futures decline 0.64% on profit-booking

Crude palm oil prices were down by 0.64 per cent to Rs 526.40 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in August month moved down by Rs 3.40, or 0.64 per cent to Rs 526.40 per 10 kg in business turnover of 305 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month September contracts shed Rs 2.70, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 513.80 per 10 kg in 71 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by traders at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot markets against sufficient stocks position, weighed on crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
