Dacoits loot regional bank in Odisha

Unidentified armed dacoits allegedly looted Rs 9.81 lakhs from a regional bank at Kamarda about 55-km from here today, police said.

Four to five armed man entered into Odisha Gramya Bank at Kamarda under Kamarda Police Station at about 1.30pm and looted cash of Rs 9.81 lakh, they said.

They snapped telephone lines before taking key of the locker at gun point and fled with cash, police said, adding that a search operation has been launched and border with neighbouring state West Bengal has been sealed.
