Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that as per 'Marriage Palace Regularisation Policy', 50 per cent of the total charges of regularisation, which were to be paid at the time of approval, has been now reduced to 25 per cent.

The marriage palace owners had earlier complained that the time for submission of applications was too short and the first installment of 50 per cent charges were too high.

The spokesman said that marriage palace owners later brought this problem to the notice of Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and accordingly which there has been a reduction in the charges and extra time allotment for submitting applications.
