Delhiites wake up to chilly morning; clear day expected

The national capital woke up to a chilly morning today with shallow fog in some areas.

The weatherman, however, predicted a clear day ahead.

According to MeT department here, minimum temperature was recorded at 10.1 degree Celsius, a notch above normal.

Humidity level was recorded at 95 per cent till 8.30 AM.

According to Safdarjung Observatory, visibility was recorded 400 meters at 8.30 AM.

"The sky will be mainly clear during the day and maximum temperature is expected to settle at 25 degree Celsius," an official said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.7 degree Celsius while minimum was 12.4 degree Celsius.

Weather conditions in the morning also disrupted rail traffic.

34 trains are reported to be running late by several hours and 12 trains have been rescheduled, said a railway official.
