DMK MPS gets bail in election case

DMK Rajya Sabha MP and former Tamil Nadu Minister T M Selvaganapathi, DMK Lok Sabha MP Aathi Shankar and party district secretary Sivalingam, against whom a case was registered during electioneering in the recent byelection to Yercaud assembly constituency in the district, were granted bail by a Magistrate Court today after they surrendered before it.

They surrendered before Judicial Magistrate-II Lakshmi, who allowed the bail plea.

A total of six cases for various alleged offences including intimidation had been filed against Selvaganapathy.
