Doctor booked on charges of negligence in baby girl's death

A doctor of a private hospital has been booked on charges of negligence in the death of a baby girl.

The doctor, identified as Gautam, was booked yesterday after the girl's family lodged a complaint of negligence, police said.

Hem Lata Yadav, wife of Rajender Kumar Yadav gave birth to a baby girl, Divya, at Kanina town of Mahendergarh district on August 31, police said, adding that Divya was admitted at the private hospital in Rewari on September 4 after she was taken ill.

As her condition deteriorated owing to alleged negligence of hospital staff, she was shifted to PGIMS in Rohtak on September 8 where she died the next day, they said.
