Punjab Local Government Minister Anil Joshi today asked those who have appeared in examinations for recruitment to various posts in his department not to get carried away by fake assurances of placement.

In a statement here, he said that an outsourcing agency conducted written exams for recruitment to the posts of executive officer, junior engineer and auditor for the Local Government department.

Stating that the department has not played any role in the examination process, Joshi asked the candidates not to fall prey to scamsters who might dupe them on the promise of getting them jobs.

He said that after the test, answer key was uploaded on the website within 48 hours and candidates could calculate their marks by themselves.

He said that for further information, candidates could contact the outsourcing agency online.

This agency has completed the process of examination and the results will be uploaded on the website within 15 days, he added.

The minister said that to ensure complete transparency, the entire examination process was being monitored and all posts would be filled on the merit and no interview would be conducted as per a policy recommended by the Prime Minister.
