President Pranab Mukherjee was presented a coffee table book illustrating the story of IIT, Delhi by the alumni of the institution.
A team of alumni of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, led by the president of alumni association, met Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday and presented him the book.
The coffee table book depicting the pictorial story of the country's prestigious institution has been prepared by the alumni.
The book containing rare black and white images tells the story of IIT Delhi since its inception to the present day covering various facets ranging from history, students, faculty and alumni to architecture, sports, cultural and extra-curricular activities etc.
The team which presented the book to Mukherjee, who is also Visitor of the institute, included Deepak Dogra, alumni association's President and Editor-in-Chief of the book, the editors - V Sethuraman, M S Bawa and Indu Bhaskar and two other senior alumni - Sajeev Jain and R K Jalan.
