The BJP government in Haryana is making efforts to encourage Sanskrit language in schools, Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said today.

"Suggestions of educationists and psychologists are being taken to include 'shlokas' of Shrimad Bhagavada Gita in the syllabus according to the study capacity of students," he said here.

Sharma said, "Sanskrit is considered the most appropriate language for the use of computers".

"Today, one may come across some engineers and MBBS doctors who are still unemployed, but no Sanskrit educationist will be found unemployed," he stated.

The minister said the foreign embassies of various countries located in New Delhi also have a demand of Sanskrit educationists for the translation of Hindi and English language.

He said that he had emphasised on the importance of Sanskrit language in his Republic Day speech too.
