Eight killed in China accident

Eight people were killed and 19 others injured when a tourist bus overturned and plunged into a valley in southwestern China today, state media reported.

Twenty-seven people were aboard the bus when it plummeted into the valley in Yunnan Province, state-run Xinhua reported.

Eight people died at the spot, the report said.

An initial investigation indicated that the vehicle overturned due to a lack of traction caused by heavy rain.
