Elderly man robbed of Rs 25,000 in Ghaziabad

An elderly man was today robbed of Rs 25,000 allegedly by two bike-borne youths near Tulsi Niketan, police said.

Sri Chand (85) was returning back to his house in Rajeev Colony after withdrawing the amount from Punjab National Bank, meant for his treatment, SHO Sahibabad Upendra Yadav said.

As he came out of the bank, two bike-borne youths followed him and allegedly snatched the bag from him near Tulsi Nikaten, he said.

In another incident, two bike-borne youths allegedly snatched a bag containing Rs 60,000 from Kunwar Pal near the Air Force Hindan round about, police said.

Police is investigating both the cases and with the help description given by the victims, the accused will be nabbed soon, they said.
