Elephant attacks temple priest

A temple priest was injured when an elephant attacked him near Burgur in Anthiyur forest area, forest officials today said.

The 40-year-old priest was walking along the forest area last night when the elephant attacked him.

Villagers found him in an unconscious condition this morning and informed forest officials.

He has been admitted to the Anthiyur government hospital.
