Engineer robbed of valuables worth Rs 4 lakh

An engineer was today robbed of valuables worth Rs 4 lakh allegedly by four car-borne miscreants at Yamuna Expressway here, police said.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, he was assaulted by the miscreants while he was waiting at a bus stop. He was then pushed inside the car by them and overpowered. The men then took away Rs 2.44 lakh cash, a laptop, a mobile, two gold rings and wrist watch.

The victim, who is working with DELL, was then dropped off at a lonely spot in Panigaon area by the suspects, they said.

"Three police teams have been formed to arrest the culprits," PRO Amit Kumar said.
