One person died after he fell unwell while returning home after appearing in the Goup D recruitment examination while five others were injured when their bus hit a rail bridge in Purba Burdwan district today, police said.
One examinee was returning home after appearing in the exam when he suddenly fell ill at Kurmin. He was rushed to the local health centre where he was declared brought dead, police said.
The cause of the death is not yet know, they said.
In another incident five persons travelling in the roof of a bus after appearing in the examination were injured when the bus hit a rail bridge near Bhedia, police said.
The injured have been rushed to the local health centre, they added.
