Explosives seized, three arrested in Sahibganj

On a tip-off that 800 gelatin sticks and as many detonators were being transported, police intercepted the car at Maharajpur railway crossing bridge and seized the consignment, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Kujur said.

Three of its occupants-- Uday Kumar Gupta, Munna Singh and Safiqul -- have been arrested.

As they don't have a license for the explosives, they are being interrogated, Kujur said.

Sahibganj is known for its stone quarries.
